French heavyweight Tony Yoka (11-1) will return in October most likely in the US, writes LÉquipe. Yoka suffered an upset loss to Martin Bakole (18-1) in May when he lost a majority decision after being dropped twice.

Yoka had no excuses afterwards and simply stated on Twitter that he had lost to a better man. He is trained by Virgil Hunter and there will be no changes in that department.

………………………………..

Norwegian featherweight Bernard Torres (16-0) makes his US debut on September 9 in Atlantic City when he fights Frency Fortunato Saya (13-1) in a scheduled ten rounder.

Torres has mainly fought in Spain the last few years and has of late been on training camp in Marbella with the likes of Michael Conlan and Harlem Eubank. He holds the IBO IberoAmerican super featherweight title.

…………………………………….

Italian Opi since 82 join forces with Phoenix Gym and Arcesi Boxe for a show at the classic Teatro Italia in Rome, reports Boxeringweb.

Headlining the bill is a fight for the national super welter title between Francesco Russo (11-2) and Francesco Sarchioto (15-1).

…………………………………………

Swedish cruiserweight champ Sami Jangirov (7-3-2) takes on German Osborn Mandela (4-1) in the headliner of Armand Boxing Promotion’s show in Ystad, Sweden, August 20.

The fight is scheduled for four rounds only which is due to the Swedish legislation that requires special permission for all fights of more than 12 minutes duration.
