Heavyweight Agit Kabayel will step into the ring for the first time in his hometown of Bochum. Bochum’s “Sportsman of the Year 2021” will thus fulfill his dream to have a fight in his city.

The SES Box Gala will take place on January 28 in Bochum’s RuhrCongress Hall.

Kabayel, 30-years-old, 22-0, and 14 KOs,, is looking to get himself in line for a world title shot. The undefeated and European heavyweight champion from 2017 to 2019, is currently in the world rankings of three world boxing associations (IBF #7 / WBO #11 / WBA #12).

The Bochum boxer was born in Leverkusen in 1992, has lived in Bochum-Wattenscheid since his childhood and is coached in Düsseldorf by his long-standing coach Sukru Aksu. Kabayel has been promoted by SES Boxing since the beginning of 2016.

Kabayel stated: “I’m constantly being approached on the street on when I’m finally going to box here in the Ruhr area. I’ve now competed 22 fights away from home, and I was able to celebrate my successes there and am still unbeaten. I can finally celebrate this in January with a fight in front of my fans in my city. I’m really impatient now and I’m really looking forward to this home game. I can promise my people in the Ruhr area a great start to the year with an exciting evening of great boxing!”

More information about the Kabayel fight and the other professional boxing matches that are still being planned will follow in the next few weeks.
